To The Field Again

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
–Henry David Thoreau?

Though we took to the Field and not the Woods, the spirit of Thoreau’s words are apt to describe this night’s walk:

Biking through the Field

Wandering through the Field

Floating through the Field

::What We Learned on This Walk::

  • Getting out really does make things better, especially if it is a well-loved place
  • Sometimes we need reminders not to get too far ahead & to wait at trail junctions
  • Jasper especially loves it here when the grass is long & he can play land shark
  • Sometimes riding Daddy’s shoulders can be faster than a sibling riding his bike.  :)

Love this quote (of course) and love the sentiment. Any day ‘out’ is a good day out!
