Started during KCWC, finished in time to be mailed off for our niece’s 1st birthday coming up soon. Sweet and easy knit, definitely one to make again someday.
Knitting Stats:
Pattern: TINY Tea Leaves by Melissa LaBarre
Yarn: Vintage DK in Delphinium
Notes: I followed the pattern exactly because that was the mood I was in, save to add a third buttonhole because I didn’t like the way only two looked on it since there were three rows of gathered stitches. I made the covered buttons for it and love how they came out. Rather than using my covered button kit I simply took the buttons from it, made yo-yos with my chosen fabric and popped the button inside the fabric as I pulled the gathered stitches tight. Simple, easy, and now the sweater has unique buttons.
With my history of putting buttons on projects I guess I should be thankful that it has any buttons on it at all!

This is beautiful! I can’t wait to make my first sweater. It’s going to look something like this (it’s the Shalom cardigan). I’ve never been a huge fan of purple, but this color looks amazing and rich. Nice job!
Thanks for stopping by, Chel! I hope you have fun with Shalom! I’ve seen so many beautiful versions of that sweater.
I love this sweater, and yours came out perfectly.
Thank you, Heather! I hope it fits its recipient.
What a beautiful sweater! I need to pick up my needles again…
