I love to feed people. I love finding new recipes and thinking, “Oh, I can’t wait to make this for Person X who will love it!” I love mixing and forming breads and crackers, pies savory and sweet with music playing and me dancing in my kitchen.
It’s no surprise, then, that I spent time baking on both days this past weekend as L1 recovered from surgery.
My notes on the recipe are with my pin for it on Pinterest. Overall this is a SIMPLE, quick recipe and was a HUGE crowd pleaser. Seriously. I put the platter of them down in front of my family and they were gone in a flash. They were especially good for a husband whose face was sore and couldn’t talk much. His quick consumption of so many of them in quick succession was all the feedback I needed.
The second baking for the weekend was in the form of Jennifer’s Buckeye Muffins over at JCasa*handmade. This was the fourth Sunday in a row I’ve made these for breakfast. They are so good with morning tea. A batch lasts us through Tuesday morning only because they are rationed. This past weekend I brought them to L1 in bed and the kids joined us to eat theirs as well.
And tonight? Tonight I have some of this bread in the works to go with soup for dinner.
