Spin Till You’re Dizzy

Lately I have this sense that I don’t know what I’ve been doing with  my time.  I certainly haven’t been in this space, as evidenced by my lack of posting.  I’ve had a hard time letting myself be okay with not knowing where my time has gone.  I worry that much of it has been lost to cyberspace.  But I have been doing things other than being sucked into the internet.  Rather than morn the loss of time, I’m ready to be more aware of the present.  Find some ease.  We’ll see how that goes!

During L1′s time home recovering from surgery we went for a walk.  It was a sunny day and I asked him if he’d be up for taking some pictures for me. He wasn’t up for much talking as his face healed, but he was happy to oblige me in the photo department.

I finally got photos of the adult circle skirt that I previewed briefly here last fall.

I ran about on the path of one of our favorite walking spots, Jasper prancing along side me, and I twirled, and jumped, and even did a few yoga poses. It was silly and just what we needed. And the pictures? So happy my husband knows how to use a camera. I’m sharing a couple of the outtakes here. I’ll have the listing up in the shop by the end of the week.

See how full it is? But the fabric has such a lovely drape that it doesn’t look like a poodle skirt. The soft waistband is key to making this skirt the ulimate in comfort.

We took some photos with the skirt over jeans and then, in the cold & wind I tossed the jeans aside and we took more shots with the skirt and my trusty black boots.

This is one of my favorites from the whole morning. I can remember laughing and throwing my jeans at L1 and feeling completely exhilarated by the cold and the sun all at once. There is nothing like being out in the world with my husband, walking and noticing and just being together.

I decided to keep the sample of this skirt for myself and wore it to work that day. A reminder to spin till I’m dizzy.

I love these kind of moments. Dancing, spinning, doing yoga in nature is the best! Great photos.

The skirt is beautiful…but I love the feel of this post. Capturing the joy, the silliness, the special moment between a husband and wife. Thanks for sharing.
