I’ve been planting and stalking, though I haven’t shared here as I usually do. So I thought I’d give a little update about what is happening in our little garden growing world:
Many little seeds have been planted, this year in soil blocks. It’s my first time using them and so far, so good. I’ve been much better about keeping all of my plants hydrated because I can see *just* how dry they get!

Broccoli seedlings, about 1 week after they were planted (taken 3/24)
Broccoli seedlings last week (4/11)–they’re even bigger now!
The asparagus has gone from this in March:
To this yesterday morning:
Soon I’ll be putting plants in the soil of the raised beds, which have been cleared out and made ready over the past few weeks. Our seed potatoes arrived on Monday, I’ve had the onions hardening off for awhile now, and my celery needs to be potted up before I can begin its hardening off process.
I’m ever surprised at how this growing cycle always amazes me and that I don’t tire of it.
What signs of growth are you seeing or signs of the world slowing down, for my southern hemisphere friends? Are you trying to grow anything new this year?

I live in Suffolk in the UK and the asparagus here is amazing. I think it’s something to do with the sandy soil that makes it grow so well here.
